Seraj Sarim was born and raised in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and is Mostafa’s youngest brother. He ignites those around him with his adventurous spirit and unending enthusiasm. He graduated from Park Center Senior High School in 2002 and went on to earn his degree in television production. During college, he worked as a paraprofessional with local schools and discovered his passion for working with young people. An artist and photographer, his travels have brought him around the world to places like Alaska, Tanzania, and Kathmandu, Nepal where he studied at a Buddhist monastery and volunteered with an orphanage in the city, an experience that has shaped his worldview. As a photojournalist and bartender, Seraj has worked across the country. Living in seven states, he has a unique and up-close view of America, a country that he loves and appreciates. From his first news story about how to keep your cows warm, in Williston, ND to standing in hurricanes on the east coast, Seraj has enjoyed every minute of his career. His eye for detail and the story behind the lens influence his role as a photojournalist daily and as a student of the world, he aims to bring that inspiration with him to Moe123 to help students in their endeavors and honor Mostafa’s legacy each and every day.
