Massih, also known as Marty, is one year younger than Mostafa and came to the United States alongside him in 1982 from Kabul, Afghanistan as a refugee. He grew up in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, and went to Park Center Senior High. He began his career in business at the young age of 18 and quickly moved up the ranks of leadership at a local call center. After a dozen years in the business, he grew and sold a mid-size company. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida to help build a global contact center where today, he serves as President and CEO. Massih also founded Sarim Properties in Jacksonville and participates in charities as well as serves on boards in both Minnesota and Florida. As a resident of Jacksonville Beach, Massih likes to spend his free time outdoors. He enjoys running, fishing, hunting, golfing and traveling the world. He is the proud father of Kali Sarim, his daughter, and fellow board member. Massih lives the fast life and is always on the move. He loves to work hard but play even harder. His never-give-up attitude and fiercely competitive nature is addicting and rubs off on everyone around him. Massih is truly honored to be able to be part of this charity and to keep his older brother’s legacy alive for years to come.
Seraj Sarim grew up in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and is Mostafa’s youngest brother. He ignites those around him with his adventurous spirit and unending enthusiasm. He graduated from Park Center Senior High School in 2002 and went on to earn his degree in television production in 2007. During college, he worked as a paraprofessional with a local school and discovered his passion for working with young people. An artist and photographer, his travels have brought him around the world to places like Alaska, Tanzania, and Kathmandu, Nepal where he studied at a Buddhist monastery and volunteered with an orphanage in the city, an experience that has shaped his worldview. His eye for detail and the story behind the lens influence his role as a photojournalist daily and as a student of the world, he aims to bring that inspiration with him to Moe123 to help students in their endeavors and honor Mostafa’s legacy each and every day.
Danielle Sarim grew up in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and is Mostafa’s sister-in-law. She is a 2008 graduate of Park Center Senior High School. Like Mostafa, Danielle has always gravitated toward school and is passionate about education. Insatiably curious, Danielle asks questions to dig, discover, and learn daily in order to serve a purpose greater than herself. She honed her love for writing and languages during college and graduated with her B.A. in English, professional writing, and communication studies from Concordia University, St. Paul in 2012. Since then, she has found success as a professional writer and storyteller with experience spanning industries like higher education and construction. Ambitious and driven to grow, she is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing at Concordia. As an educator, she has volunteered as an ELL teaching assistant and tutor and mentors up and coming writers and marketers through her role in higher education. She is a writer, poet, voracious reader, cat-lady, pilates/yoga enthusiast, and is enamored with history and travel - especially the mountains. She is honored to serve as a Moe123 board member where she will strive to lift our community’s scholars through their dedication to education and keep Mostafa’s memory alive through each step.

Kali graduated from Osseo Senior High in 2017 where she was a varsity captain of her soccer team. She currently lives full time in Jacksonville, Florida and is the business marketing representative for a global contact center. Kali loves animals and has a dog named Mia. Her hobbies include hanging out with her friends, spending time at the cabin, and hanging out by the pool. She is honored to be serving as a board member for her uncle and volunteering her time to turn this tragedy into a great cause.
Marjan Samadi joined the Moe123 board in 2020 but has been a part of the Moe123 journey since its inception. A cousin of Mostafa, Marjan helped design the Moe123 logo and brand and has been involved with design elements, photography, and support along the way. She graduated from Champlin Park High School in 2001 and went on to study at the Art Institute and Brown College where she earned her bachelor's in visual communications. Since then, she has worked in the graphic design industry for seven years. In addition to her keen eye for design, Marjan is a passionate athlete and plays dodgeball for Team USA. In fact, she represented Team USA at the World Dodgeball Federation 2016 in Melbourne, Australia. She has helped launch Twin Cities Dodgeball, a local dodgeball group that offers pickup matches, hosts tournaments, and is part of USA Dodgeball. She is also a scout for USA Dodgeball's north region to help recognize and develop the next generation of players to represent Team USA. Marjan is thrilled to be a part of Moe123 to help the next generation of scholars find the path to their own passions and future endeavors.
