Friends of Moe123,
We're sure we don't need to tell you that the world looks different than it did last year or even several months ago. COVID-19 has presented challenges and has required us to adapt. We hope that you and your families are safe, healthy, and hanging in there as we work together to support our communities and those providing essential services on the front lines. We are in awe of you all.
May represents plenty of things particularly in Minnesota. May ushers in spring, growth anew, as well as the culmination of the school year. It represents a rush of energy as we look forward to the summer and reflection as we thaw from another Minnesota winter. At Moe123, May is when we come together to celebrate the beautiful community we've built together to reflect on a year of fundraising, awards, and to celebrate Mostafa's birthday. It's offered a cathartic source of healing for our family.
However, under the guidelines set for physical and social distancing, it is with heavy hearts we share that the 3rd Annual Moe123 Community Picnic is postponed. It isn't what we imagined, but we know we aren't alone. Our Moe123 Scholars are experiencing this first-hand as they complete their senior years from home. We admire so much about the way they've pivoted but we also know that it hasn't been easy. To our seniors and all seniors: we see you, we hear you, and no matter where, we will celebrate you. The same goes for our Community Picnic.
We hope to reschedule for later this summer pending guidelines. We will keep you posted and update you as soon as we can should we get the green light. In the meantime, please know how thankful we are for our Moe123 Community and for all you do and have done to support our incredible seniors as well as our family. Those connections, near or far, are what get us through.
We're thinking of you all and looking forward to when we can celebrate together. In the meantime, drop us a note and let us know how you're doing.
